This Privacy Policy explains how QR Lens: Scan & Generate (“QR Lens,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App. QR Lens is published by Muzamil Tools.

By downloading or using QR Lens, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Please do not use the App if you do not agree with this policy.

1. Information Processed by the App

QR Lens is designed to provide QR-code and barcode scanning, QR-code generation, saving, sharing, history, and favorites features.

The App may process the following information when you choose to use these features:

Camera input: used to detect and scan QR codes and supported barcodes.
Images selected from your device: used when you choose to scan a QR code from an image.
QR-code content: such as website links, Wi-Fi details, contact information, email addresses, or text that you enter or scan.
Locally stored app activity: such as scan history, favorites, or generated QR codes, where these features are enabled.

QR-code content and app history are used to provide the requested features. We do not operate a separate account system for QR Lens, and we do not ask you to create an account to use the App.

2. Device Permissions

Depending on the feature you use and your Android version, QR Lens may request access to:

Camera: to scan QR codes and barcodes.
Photos, media, or selected images: to scan codes from images or save generated QR codes.
Internet access: to load advertisements and access online services used by the App.

You may deny or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some App features may not work correctly without the relevant permission.

3. Advertising and Google AdMob

QR Lens displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google.

Google and its advertising technologies may automatically collect or process information such as:

Device and app information
Advertising identifiers
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Ad impressions, interactions, and diagnostic information
App usage, performance, and crash-related information

This information may be used to provide, measure, limit, personalize, or improve advertisements, subject to your device settings, consent choices, applicable law, and Google’s policies.

4. Consent and Advertising Choices

Where required by applicable law, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App or Google’s consent platform may ask for your consent before using certain advertising technologies or personal data for personalized advertising.

Depending on availability, you may be able to manage advertising choices through an in-app consent message, your Google account, or your Android device’s privacy and advertising settings.

Information processed through QR Lens may be used to:

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information collected directly through an account system because QR Lens does not currently provide user accounts.

Information may nevertheless be processed or shared in the following circumstances:

Service providers: such as Google AdMob and Google Play Services, which process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
User-requested sharing: when you choose to share QR-code images or scan results through another app or service.
Legal and safety reasons: where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, users, security, or the public.
Business changes: in connection with a merger, acquisition, transfer, or sale of the App or related assets, subject to applicable law.

7. Data Storage and Retention

Scan history, favorites, and generated QR-code information may be stored locally on your device. You may be able to remove this information through the App, by clearing the App’s storage, or by uninstalling the App.

Information processed by Google AdMob or other third-party services is retained according to those providers’ own policies and legal obligations.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable measures intended to protect information associated with the App. However, no mobile application, device, network, storage method, or electronic transmission is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

QR Lens is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a user-account system.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Scan results may contain links, contact details, Wi-Fi information, or other content created by third parties. QR Lens does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, content, products, or privacy practices. 11. Your Choices

You may control certain processing by:

Granting or revoking camera and photo permissions in Android settings
Deleting locally stored scan history or favorites where the App provides that option
Clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App
Managing advertising and privacy settings on your Android device or Google account
Using available consent controls for personalized or non-personalized advertising

12. International Processing

Third-party providers used by the App may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their own privacy terms and applicable data-protection safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, legal requirements, or our practices. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
